Meet Richard – Told by Aubrey

Richard has a heart of gold. In college, a friend told me that Richard is the type of person a new Freshman would stop to ask questions. He is approachable and kind to everyone he meets. He comes from a very large family and is the fourth of seven kids. Family is so important to him. He grew up in Washington, just north of Seattle. Richard participated in drama in high school; I love the way he reads aloud and proclaims words. Richard served a two-year mission in England for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Since we met in 2016, he has always shown those around him empathy and warmth. I love seeing the tenderness in him as he holds and plays with our nieces and nephews. I have no doubt that he will be a wonderful father.

His hobbies include road cycling, trying new recipes, and fishing.

Meet Aubrey – Told by Richard

On the list of all the values that Aubrey has, family is at the top. Aubrey is very close with not just her immediate family, but her grandparents, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great aunt, cousins, second cousins, third cousins, uncle’s nephew’s best friend’s son, and that one guy at the family reunion who no one really knows who they are and why they’re there. Aubrey was born in Texas but grew up in the Ogden area of Utah. She studied preschool education in college; she loves interacting with and teaching children. She is incredibly passionate about motherhood and the role of mothers. Aubrey loves nature; she loves not only being out camping and hiking in nature but also loves having and caring for houseplants. While very shy and reserved at first, once she’s comfortable around you, she becomes a goofy, funny life of the party. She has a somewhat odd, yet undeniably adorable, love for all things “tiny.”

Her hobbies consist of photography, crafts, and home decorating (I dare not leave her unattended at Hobby Lobby).
